So, I just got a new job within Chevron!
My new title is the "GIS Coordinator" and it will be effective in the beginning of June.
It is a strategic position in which I'll be developing the view of Chevron's GIS strategy within SJV and working to standardize all of our GIS best practices. It is a visionary type position with lots of room to grow both professionally and monetarily. It is definitely a step in the right direction for me because I'm on a management career path (as opposed to technical) and acting in the role of a coordinator provides good experience in both technical leadership and people leadership.
It should be fun ride!
