So, the housing market is pretty low right now as far as house pricing where I live. My wife and I were just looking at buying a house. We put in an offer, but it looks like we were beat by a few hours. Nothing's for sure yet, but that's what it looks like.
Eh...oh well. We'll be able to find some other houses for a good price. It's actually going to be better for us to go ahead and wait to close until next year. The problem, however, is that I have heard that the down payment requirement goes up in January of 2009 from 3% to 6%. THIS IS HUGE!!! I hope this doesn't happen. I'm going to have to look more into it.
I'll keep you updated on this and let you know if we get a good house out of it or not.
